  Played three seasons in New York in the BAA/NBA’s early years before joining the Rochester Royals and winning a title in 1951.

• Greg Kite (b. 1961) — Center; Knicks 1995.

  
  

  Veteran big man who had a very short stint with the Knicks late in his career, appearing in 6 games.

• John Rudd (b. 1955) — Forward; Knicks 1978–1979.

  
  

  Played 7 games for the Knicks in his only NBA season after a college career at Nevada.

• Danilo Gallinari (b. 1988) — Forward; Knicks 2008–2011.

  
  

  Drafted 6th overall in 2008. A skilled 6'10" forward and fan favorite, later included in the Carmelo Anthony trade.

• Cameron Payne (b. 1994) — Guard; Knicks 2019 (10-day stints, 9 games).

  
  

  Former lottery pick who had a short stay with the Knicks as a backup point guard before continuing his journeyman career.

• Ime Udoka (b. 1977) — Forward/guard; Knicks 2006.

  
  

  Played 8 games for New York before moving on to San Antonio and Portland. Later became an NBA head coach.

• John Starks (b. 1965) — Guard; Knicks 1990–1998.

  
  

  Emotional leader of the 1990s Knicks. 1994 All-Star, 1997 Sixth Man of the Year, and forever remembered for “The Dunk” in the 1993 playoffs.

• Kevin Knox II (b. 1999) — Forward; Knicks 2018–2022.

  
  

  Drafted 9th overall in 2018. Showed flashes as a scorer but never found consistency. Played four seasons before being traded.

• Earl Barron (b. 1981) — Center; Knicks 2010, 2013.

  
  

  A 7-footer who came up from the D-League and had productive stints with New York, including averaging a double-double during a late-season run in 2010.

🎂 August 16

• Bill Martin (b. 1962) — Forward; Knicks 1987.

  Played 8 games on 10-day contracts. A Georgetown alum who later spent time with the Clippers.

  
  

• James Donaldson (b. 1957) — Center; Knicks 1991–1992.

  
  

  Veteran big man and 1988 All-Star with Dallas. Played 41 games with New York near the end of his career.

• Kenny Sears (1933–2017) — Forward; Knicks 1955–1961, 1962–1963.

  
  

  Two-time All-Star and the first basketball player ever featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated. One of the Knicks’ top players in the late 1950s.

  
  

• Cleveland Buckner (1938–2006) — Forward/Center; Knicks 1961–1963.

  
  

  Played two seasons in New York as a reserve big man after starring at Jackson State.
