 🎂 Greg Butler – Born Sept 4, 1966

  • Knicks tenure: 1988–1990

  • Position: Center

  • Summary: Stanford big man drafted in the 2nd round in 1988. Played 55 games over two seasons as a backup center, mainly used for size and interior defense.

🎂 Miles McBride – Born Sept 8, 2000

  • Knicks tenure: 2021–present

  • Position: Guard

  • Summary: Drafted 36th overall in 2021. Nicknamed “Deuce,” McBride is known for his defensive intensity and developing three-point shot. Worked his way from a two-way prospect to a rotation guard in New York.

🎂 Gerald Wilkins – Born Sept 11, 1963

  • Knicks tenure: 1985–1992

  • Position: Shooting Guard

  • Summary: Younger brother of Dominique Wilkins. A key Knicks starter in the late 1980s, he averaged double figures in scoring for seven straight seasons. Athletic and reliable, he was Patrick Ewing’s backcourt running mate during New York’s playoff pushes.

🎂 Ernie Vandeweghe – Born Sept 12, 1928

  • Knicks tenure: 1949–1956

  • Position: Forward / Guard

  • Summary: A versatile player who spent his entire NBA career with the Knicks. Played in the early NBA Finals runs of the 1950s. Father of Kiki Vandeweghe, who also had a long NBA career as a player and executive.

🎂 Robert Werdann – Born Sept 12, 1970

  • Knicks tenure: 1992–1994

  • Position: Center

  • Summary: Local product from St. John’s. Drafted in the 2nd round in 1992, he played 47 games over two seasons with the Knicks as a reserve center.
